Itinerary

Come and enjoy 5 nights accommodation, with 4 days of sketching and painting at the beautiful Cottages de Garrigue,  just 6km from Eymet in the Dordogne, South West France. 

 

Below is a sample itinerary:

Monday arrival

 

When you arrive at Bergerac airport we’ll be there to meet you and take you directly to your lovely accommodation. After settling in, it'll be time for a welcome drink and to run through the weekend’s activities before you al fresco dine on the terrace.

​

The hours for each day will be:- 10.00 to 12.30 (tuition) 12.30 to 14.00 (lunch break – packed lunches will be provided or lunch will be served at the Cottages) 14.00 to 16.30 (tuition)

 

Tuesday

 

After breakfast you’ll begin your art classes either inside the barn, or en plein air dependent on the weather. The afternoon will be spent producing artwork before retiring to your accommodation to relax. In the evening we’ll enjoy a lovely dinner at the Cottages, on the terrace weather permitting.

 

Wednesday

 

After breakfast, we’ll head to the Naked Vigneron vineyard where we’ll spend the morning sketching and painting. Lunch will be at the vineyard, with the opportunity to buy some of the fabulous organic wines to ship home. We’ll return to painting around the vineyard for the afternoon. After the day’s sketching and painting we will return to the Cottages to relax before dinner 'at home'.

 

Thursday

 

After breakfast we’ll take a trip to today’s painting venue of Eymet, a medieval bastide town. Lunch will be at a lovely pizzeria. After lunch we’ll continue painting back at the Cottages. After time to relax and freshen up, join us for dinner on the terrace.

 

Friday

 

This morning after breakfast we’ll sketch and paint all day at the Cottages. Lunch will be on the shady terrace overlooking the lovely views. Following an afternoon of art, we’ll make time to relax before dinner in a local restaurant, finishing with farewell drinks back at the Cottages.

 

Saturday

 

We’ll leave after breakfast for the transfer to Bergerac airport.

Practical information
